Wow, am I honored!

I'll tell my boring little Rubinoos story again. Back around 1979, I interviewed the group for my college paper. At the time, they had just come off the infamous "Get Happy" tour with Elvis and the Attractions (he cut short a show in Berkeley and walked off in a huff, ironically enough). The band said they used to incorporate little snippets of Elvis's tunes into their own arrangements, which the audiences didn't notice, but which really cracked up Elvis!

Anyhoo, these guys were great live - I must have seen them a couple of dozen times between 1976 - 1981 or so. The live disc includes their absolutely awesome fuzz-guitar version of "Sugar Sugar." Not on the disc, but I remember hearing them do a great "The Kids Are Alright," too!
