Your Friday Moment of Madeleine

And not, strictly speaking, in the Proustian sense.

From some time in the 70s, the incomparable (and sadly late) Madeleine Kahn channels Clarence "Frogman" Henry, and much else.

I don't know why this strikes me as so ineffably funny, but it does.

Thank you. That made my morning. I miss Madeleine.

Sal took the words right out of my mouth. It's pitch-perfect as opposed to tone-deaf. In spirit as well as musically.

After a bit of investigation I've discovered that the YouTube video came from a 1991 television special called Lovelaughs. It was hosted by Teri Garr, and billed as "A comedy special spotlighting comediennes sharing the trials and tribulations of their love lives from their first date to the signing of divorce papers."

Peter --

Good sleuthing.

I first saw Kahn do that on an episode of Saturday Night Live in the 70s, but apparently that clip isn't on YouTube.
